Arizona in Norway part II - Dog Sledding Adventure

The Moose may be the national animal or symbol of Norway but it proven to be very elusive to see.  Reindeer and Dogs are everywhere though and make exciting adventures.

Loaded onto the bus downtown and ready for our journey to the Dog Sledding Ranch outside of Tromsø

Everyone is ready and excited to go dog sledding.

The dogs are more excited than their passengers.

Beautiful back to Tromøya from the dog ranch

Everyone found a sled and we headed out.

freshly fallen snow the day previous made the dogs work harder to carve out a new trail.

A perfect sunny day for a ride.

Britt and Grandpa all bundled up.

Petting and interacting with the dogs afterwards was so much fun for the kids.

They use Alaskan huskies which are leaner and run farther than  the Siberian huskies we had.

The dogs come in all colors and look very different.

Checking out the puppies in the nursery.

A hot chocolate toast to a successful day...served in a wooden Sami cup.
Lunch was reindeer soup, bread, hot chocolate and cake..

Our little "musher!"

Where lunch was served.
Delightful day - overlooking back to Tromsøya
Entrance to the Dining hall
Lovely setting for a family gathering

Another fun day together.
