April...Can Spring Be Far Behind?

April almost gave us springtime and the promise of flowers...
It truly was a feeling that we both shared and the love that we called ours...We've got pieces of April...we keep them in a memory bouquet.

Early morning sun - still getting use to the idea that we can see the sun again

It still looks like winter...in April.

north end of the island still has lots of snow since the sun comes last to this part of Tromsøya

beache not quite ready for sunbathing

Cool crisp days, but one can feel the activity level of the town starting to pick up.

The reindeer are starting to come back.

They won't be swinging in this back yard for a while yet.

amazing how blue the water looks some days

Lill and Dad as we walked around town, lots more sun now but still a little nip in the air and Dad still is wearing his winter coat.

We have blue skies and blue water again.

The view from our deck on a little more cloudy day.

Two friends came to visit from Kristiansand, Jeannette Torejson and Anne Svendson.  Posing in front of Tromsø Railway station, which is a comical story in itself, as no railway ever made it to Tromsø but they had the station ready for it.

On the south steps of the domkirke

Visiting the old church in town.

We visited the Tromsø museum while they visited.  Anne had heard about a treasure that was found in the area and on display and wanted to see it.

Fjellheisen closed early today, it was cold and windy and also a holiday so they didn't have many guests we guess.   Had to go home and eat pizza.

This was our view tonight, not on top as usual but a beautiful view anyway.

It is along way up there.

So we visited the Arctic Chapel on the way home for pizza instead.

Visiting Sunday before they left.
