Families Can Be Together Forever in Norway...  or at least a few extra days when flights are delayed.   We welcomed Kirsti and family for a few days. ...lots of fun for us...You don't chose your family...they are God's gift to you...

Welcome to Tromsø!  Our first view of the family arriving in the Tromsø airport.

Sun sets earlier now.

This little beach is covered with shells.

Enjoying the warm sunny beaches in Norway - Sommerøy

Beautiful sights!  (Probably the first time to wear your parka to the beach.)

The sunset never disappoints... even if it is at 1:30pm.

A swing for all.  Taking advantage of some afternoon playtime outside our apartment

The domkirke in town.  The only wooden domskirke in Norway, made all of wood.

the old chapels are beautiful but are not open as they used to be when Dad served in Norway ages ago, but it was open this day just so Kirsti's family could see inside one.

Beautiful stained glass of the Arctic Chapel in Tromsø

Morning the last day, time to leave for the airport and of course it's snowing...the beginning of future problems and experiences.

Long hours were spent in airports trying to get home.  Making the best of a stressful situation

The delay gave the family an opportunity to spend some time in Oslo.  Here they are in the T-Bane (subway) at the National Theatre station

Our good friends the Bergquists who serve in Oslo took great care of them during their layover.   Probably had more fun with them than us since the Bergquists know how to spoil their guests.

playing a little pool in the Mission office /YSA center in Oslo
Ha Det Bra Dokker!
