Tønsberg - Slottfjellet & Hvalmuseet

Slottfjellet
          (Castle Mountain)

A small hill in Tønsberg (Vestfold) -  ruins of a church and fortress from the Middle Ages.   Site of a Medival festival each year.
The current tower was built in 1888.

Tunnels, bunkers & caves run under the hill and adjacent to the Slottfjell museum is also a whaling museum - Hvalmuseet.

The signatures & monuments of the last 3 Kings of Norway are within the tower walls.
