Lindesnes Fyr with Sisters Peterson & Earl

We took the Sisters Peterson & Earl on a p-day to Lindesnes to explore the lighthouse.  Sue Ann & I were here last fall and thought the Sisters would enjoy it also.  It is still an operational lighthouse with a Lighthouse keeper.   This day the lighthouse itself was not open to go inside but we had a good time exploring the grounds.

Lindesnes Fyr is the southern most lighthouse in Norway.

The snow was gone at the Lighthouse - it doesn't get much here at the southern most tip of Norway with the coast on the North Sea, but it is still rather chilly.   I love the eskimo on this hillside

Sun starting to set even though it was midday.

date of last rennovation to the lighthouse.

Original lighthouse where they used to build fires to warn the ships of the coastline.  It has had some restoration work done on it and has been repainted.
