Book of Mormon Musikal - Kilden - Kristiansand

President Ezra Taft Benson:
"We must flood the earth and our lives with the Book of Mormon.
We each need to get our own testimony of the Book of Mormon through the Holy Ghost. Then our testimony, coupled with the Book of Mormon, should be shared with others so that they, too, can know through the Holy Ghost of its truthfulness."
We had the fornunate blessing to have the Book of Mormon musical come to Kristiansand from April to June 2018.  Although the play is not favorable to our Religion or Christianity even we used it as an opportunity to offer patrons attending the musical a copy of the Book of Mormon - "Boken er Altid Bedre" was the theme chosen - "The Book is always better".   We were amazed at the response we recieved.  The workers at the Theatre were so kind to us and we became great friends.  The members and missionaries enjoyed the experience of sharing copies of the Book and discussing the Gospel with Theatre patrons.  Included are a few of the pictures that convey a small portion of what we were able to experience.  We were able to share almost 6000 copies of the Book of Mormon during the 30 performances that took place on various evenings.   The missionaries and us were tired of not getting home and to bed before 11:30p but the lack of sleep was swallowed up in the joy of sharing.  The Missionaries were distributing about 20 books a month prior to the musical coming to town.  We were trying to do our part in flooding the city of Kristiansand with the Book of Mormon.  We pray it will flood the live and hearts of the people who accepted a copy that they will desire to read it and feel the spirit of the Holy Ghost as they read.   Gotta love it - even the troll is reading the gold plates.

We placed an order for 4000 books to begin with - Missionaries helping carry books off the street into the YSA Center

Even the truck driver wanted to help and a wanted a copy of the Book of Mormon in Polish - his native language

books were stacked 3 rows deep plus in the center

everyone thought we had too many...but we ended up having to order 2000 more before the musical was over.

Boken er alltid Bedre - The Book is always better.  - Elder Hansen (on left) started his mission in Oslo where the musical was playing at the time and had an opportunity to have his picture on the card we placed inside each book - it was our blessing to have him transferred from Alta to Kristiansand just as the play came to town.

The theatre staff at the Kilden all dressed as missionaries for the entire 30 evenings that the play ran in town.   They were so kind to us - This is only part of them . - they were always inviting us inside out of cold weather while we waited for the show to end, wanting to know more about us and the church.   We made some very good friends and left both them and us with some lasting impressions.  After the last showing they came out to tell us how much they were going to miss us not being there every night.
